Kids vs Global Warming - Environmental protection for and by kids

Kids vs. Global Warming is a non-profit organization led by 15 year old Alec Loorz. The organization’s goals are to inform kids about climate change and to mobilize them to take action - according to the slogan “iMatter”. With the custom designed mobile application iMatter youth around the world are connected and motivated to take action themselves against climate change.

“There are young people in every town who have initiated projects in their homes, schools and communities that are helping to make a transition to a more sustainable society. But the problem is that we are all disconnected. The iMatter app helps us to connect our individual and group actions together for a greater global impact,” says Alec Loorz.

Users can join existing projects started by other users and also initiate new projects which are displayed on a map. Every activist tells their own story and makes their own contribution for a global impact and to inspire other people.
